Mark those calendars for the most fun you will have this year supporting a good cause. Axe-Idental Heroes returns October 24, 2026 from 2-5pm at Recess in Tempe. More details to follow soon but you don’t want to miss out on a great afternoon supporting our Veterans and First Responders.
Heroes of the Hatchet
2025 featured a new event, the “Heroes of the Hatchet” axe throwing tournament. 32 guests competed in a winner-takes-all competition of accuracy, determination, and taunting. While accuracy was in low supply, determination and taunting was everywhere with safety coming in third as always. In the end, Omar - representing Pour Wine and Taproom (Lane Sponsor)- came out victorious! Will Omar defend his title or will we crown a new ‘Hero of the Hatchet’?

Appetizers, non-alcoholic drinks, and all games included in ticket price. Beer/wine/cocktails are available to purchase on site. Come prepared to compete in both axe throwing and some friendly ribbing as you outbid one another in the auction. Raffles will also take place through out the evening.
