Are You One Of The 20 In Need Right Now?

Know that you are not alone!  There are people and resources waiting to hear from you.  Do not become your own victim; find your own personal strength and courage that you displayed in the past; Remember:

You're going to be okay.

Breathe and remember that you've been in this place before.  You've been this uncomfortable and anxious and scared, and you've survived.  Breathe and know that you can survive this too.  These feelings can't break you.  They're painful and debilitating, but you can sit with them and eventually, they will pass.  Maybe not immediately but sometime soon, they are going to fade and when they do, you'll look back at this moment and laugh for having doubted your resilience.  I know it feels unbearable right now, but keep breathing, again and again.  This will pass.  I promise, it will pass.

For our Valkyries, 20 is a challenge.  It is a challenge to lower the number; the mission to reduce the number of Veterans who commit suicide each day.  20 msw is Deep Sea Valkyries mission of unifying two goals, polar opposite in meaning to each respective community.  To reduce the number of Veterans committing suicide, we want to take our Valkyries to 20 msw and deeper.  Through training and mentorship, we will create a bridge of healing while exposing our Veterans to the beauty of the world above and below the waters which is often lost in their eyes.

For the Valkyrie

For many recreational divers, depth is an initial goal. Measured in meters or feet of sea water (msw / fsw), so many want to dive to 20, 30, or even 40 msw to claim, "they've been there".  These limits are in place for safety and to descend beyond requires training, planning, and a strict adhearance to safety protocol.
